Blueberry Picking at Alstede Farms

Recently the weather has started to cool down in the northeast.  Just looking at these photos taken during the peak of summer when we went fruit picking made me hot and look forward to more cooler days to come!

We had visited Alstede Farms with some friends.  It has a large pick-your-own field with both vegetables and fruits but we just stuck with blueberries and peaches. The blueberry bushes were the perfect height for our little toddlers.

We did some peach picking too.  It was really hot the day we went and the trees provided a nice respite from the midday sun.
The kids loved running between the rows of trees
There were a lot of fun kid friendly things to do after picking the fruit including a "corn kingdom"--a playarea full of corn kernels, pony rides, moon bounce, and a corn maze.
