L recently started and finished his first soccer class through
US Sports Institute. He was super excited to buy the whole get-up: the cleats, shin guards, soccer socks and even a little soccer ball and went excitedly to the first day of class. Unfortunately, he would fall asleep on the way to class each time and it would take some time to get him out of his post-nap grogginess. But once he got past the grogginess, he had so much fun on the field! He really enjoyed it and after the last class asked if he could do more soccer.
Look at my little guy kick!

I really liked the progression of classes and how they introduced new skills and concepts for the kids. They started with individual kicking, on to one-on-one against the coach, then one-on-one against another kid, then introduced the idea of teammates and finally added a goalie. They played lots of games and most importantly, just made it fun.
And kudos to my little P who patiently waited on the sidelines and not only watched big bro L play each time, but cheered him on, despite having her nap curtailed each time.
