New York Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show Tradition

I guess if you do something 2 years in a row it means it's a tradition, right?  Or at least it's the start of one.  This is the second year we visited the New York Botanical Gardens for the annual Holiday Train Show.  After going last year (see post here) I decided it was worthwhile to purchase a family membership and now I'm using every opportunity to go to the Gardens.  This year we went on the very last day of the Train Show, which coincided with a Thomas the Tank Engine performance.

I guess another tradition will be to take a picture in front of these trees every year, since we did it last year and again this year.  Last year when we went there was snow on these trees!  Though getting a complete family photo is always a challenge.  It's neat to see how much everyone changes after the course of a year.

I must say, the Thomas show this year was so much better than last year's!  Last year they just played episodes of the TV show and allowed kids to take pictures with Thomas in a tent.  This year, there was an interactive show with a talking, eye-moving, beeping Thomas and Driver Sam.  The audience sang the Thomas & Friends theme song together and helped in a mission to get Thomas ready for a trip.

Afterwards, we took a picture with Thomas and Driver Sam. "P" could not take her eyes off of Thomas!

Then we headed over to the conservatory to see the Holiday Train display.  Just like last year, it was amazing!

Due to the cold weather we skipped the Gingerbread Adventures this time, but the kids still had a great time.
